Co-sponsored by Penn State Great Valley and the Chester County Economic Development Council, the lunchtime workshops focus on timely topics to stimulate new ideas and provide an opportunity for local professionals to connect.
Igniting Innovation: The 3 C's of Innovation: Create, Communicate, and Commercialize

To move your innovative idea from conception to commercialization, you will encounter the “3 C’s”: Create, Communicate and Commercialize. Representatives from the Ideas x Innovation Network (i2n) of the Chester County Economic Development Council will provide a summary of their backgrounds and how they, in their respective capacities (legal, educational and entrepreneurial), interact with that process.
Deborah L. Spranger, Esq. - Saul Ewing
Deborah Spranger is vice chair of the Business and Finance Practice and co-chair of the Life Sciences Practice. She concentrates her practice primarily in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance, and the licensing and commercialization of intellectual property.
Dr. Phillip A. Laplante, Professor - Penn State Great Valley
Dr. Phillip A. Laplante is a researcher, teacher, practicing software engineer, and former senior academic administrator. His philosophy of scholarship embraces eclectic and collaborative inquiry that integrates research, work experience, and teaching. This philosophy is reflected in nearly 30 years of publication, which ranges from theoretical to applied and involves extensive collaboration with faculty colleagues, students, and industry scientists.
David Noteware, Esq. - Founder of NextGen Reporting
David has twenty-plus years experience leading successful teams in for-profit and not-for-profit environments. He has served as founder, c-level officer and consultant in a variety of activities spanning finance technology, electronics manufacturing, real estate, legal services and software. He successfully co-founded, grew and eventually sold PayQuik.com, Inc. to Citigroup in 2008, and helped establish Aeroscout which was sold to Stanley Black & Decker in 2012. PayQuik provided a platform of world class cross border money transfer solutions. Aeroscout provides products that leverage standard Wi-Fi networks to track and manage the location, condition and status of mobile assets and people.
